After images were released of a trialist at the club, many Liverpool fans were asking questions about this young player so this latest article  answers all your questions about Markovic so that you, the readers fully understand what type of player Liverpool currently have playing with them.

As mentioned before, Serbian Luka Markovic is currently undergoing a 10 day trial with the Reds as they look to invest in the future by adding some quality additions to the young squads. Markovic is the first player to be born in the 21st century to undergo a trial with the club that brings media attention. Born on the 19th February 2000, 13 year old Markovic currently plays for Serbian side Red Star Belgrade. Interestingly, news emerged recently that Red Star Belgrade and Liverpool have announced that there has been technical and business co-operation between the clubs. This means that Markovic is the first player in either side to take advantage of the benefits.

Now, the most important piece of information on the Liverpool trialist is that he is a forward and he is a forward who has had great success in his short career thus far. Most notably, Markovic has scored 26 goals in just 12 games for Belgrade, averaging over 2 goals a game for the Serbian. Another key attribute that Markovic has is that he is part of a successful team of players, something that is normal especially in Liverpool’s youth sides. His side have played 13 games this season, winning all of them whilst scoring 67 goals and conceding just 3.

The Serbian attacker’s main advantage is his height. At a towering 5ft 9in, Markovic is extremely tall for his age and he uses this to his advantage, winning the large majority of aerial duels. He also uses his height to look intimidating to defenders, as most defenders seem to back off the tall Serbian judging from the videos of the forward. As well as his height and his goalscoring ability, Markovic has the ability to drop back and help his team when needed. He often tends to drop back even as far as the halfway line to collect the ball and this combined with his vision, he is very technically aware of his situations. I can continue to write a lot about this talented forward, but people must understand that he is only 13 years of age so no-one should get their hopes up even if he possesses great quality.
