Hello and Welcome to Kirkby Revisited, a show where I review all the latest news from Liverpool’s Academy from the past week. Some reviews may be long, some reviews may be short, it all depends on what has happened in that week.

Under 18s lose to Spurs
Neil Critchley’s Liverpool Under 18s saw their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals dashed as they suffered a 4th consecutive defeat as they lost to Tottenham Hotspur Under 18s 1-0 at the Kirkby Academy on Saturday morning. Liverpool yet again fielded a young side giving debuts to goalkeeper Owen Wheeler and 15 year old Indian youngster Yan Dhanda in the defeat. This means that the Reds are highly unlikely to play in the semi finals of the Under 18 League at the end of the season after yet another disappointing result for the Reds. They are next in action in the 5th March when they play Leicester.

Apologies that his post is so short, it’s just that is the only piece of Academy news that has occurred this week. A match report of this game will be up on this blog at 8pm GMT tomorrow evening.
