Hello and Welcome to Kirkby Revisited, a show where I review all the latest news from Liverpool’s Academy from the past week. Some reviews may be long, some reviews may be short, it all depends on what has happened in that week.

Liverpool find out semi-final fate
Alex Inglethorpe’s Liverpool Under 21s found out their fate for the Under 21 Premier League semi-finals this week after the last round of fixtures were completed. Liverpool of course finished their season with a 1-1 draw away to rivals Everton and had to wait to see how Chelsea did to see where they finished in the league. Chelsea Under 21s unfortunately won their last game against Arsenal 2-1 to finish top. That means that Liverpool will host 3rd placed Man Utd in a repeat of last season’s semi-final and the Reds will be looking to get revenge. The game is live on LFCTV and BT Sport with the first leg played at Anfield on Friday 2nd May.

Reds linked with trio of British youngsters
As the domestic season comes to a close, the rumours will start appearing and according to British tabloid ‘The Mirror’, the Reds are linked with several youngsters. The first is West Bromwich Albion striker Tyler Roberts. Roberts is a 16 year old Wales international, who captains their Under 16 side. West Brom is also a club were Liverpool signed their youngest ever player Jerome Sinclair a few seasons ago.
The next player to be linked is Bristol City defender Jack Batten. The 18 year old has progressed significantly with the League One side and has been playing for the U21 side for the majority of the season. The player is worth £75,000 after signing a professional contract with the club.
The third and final youngster to be linked with the Reds this week is 14 year old midfielder Kane Wilson. The midfielder is also a West Bromwich Albion player and if he does go to Liverpool, they will have Harry Wilson, Herbie Kane and Kane Wilson in their ranks, very confusing for young Liverpool fans.

Two Spanish ‘Wonderkids’ on Liverpool’s Radar
Another day, another transfer rumour and this time it was Spanish website ‘Neuvo Futbol’, Liverpool have agreed to sign two exciting young prospects from Malaga. The first one is 15 year old Kuki Salazar, who is an exciting striker and before you ask, yes, he is the son of former Uruguay international Jose. The next target will be 14 year old Alfredo Manuel De Sousa Silva, another forward from the La Liga side.
