It was today announced by both Liverpool and Malaga that the La Liga side have signed attacking midfielder Luis Alberto on a season-long loan. The 21 year old has struggled for game time with the Reds this season, making just 12 first team appearances this season. His development was also marred by the rise of young starlets Phillipe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling last season.
The Spain international also made a handful on Under 21 appearances, scoring a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over Sunderland in September 2013. He will join a Malaga side who finished 11th in La Liga last season and both Alberto and Malaga would want to improve for the upcoming season, meaning the move would be beneficial to both sides. Alberto will sign on a one year deal, with an option for a second year included.
