Later on today, Liverpool Under 21s face West Ham Under 21s in the third game of the 2014/15 Barclays Under 21 Premier League. The game is live on LFCTV from 6:30pm in what we surely be another good game between these two sides. Liverpool have had a good start to the season under new coach Michael Beale, remaining undefeated with four points from their first two matches and as a result sees currently sit 5th in the league on goal difference. The Hammers have had a completely opposite start to the season remaining winless after one draw and two defeats from their first three matches, so the London side will be looking to earn their first win of the season against this very strong Liverpool side.
Nick Haycock’s side did pick up their only point of the season thus far in their last match though, in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City, but that was only after back-to-back 2-1 defeats away at Spurs and at home to Southampton. The Hammers return to the Boleyn Ground tonight though, hoping for a different result than the one against Southampton on 22nd August. On the same night, tonight’s visitors Liverpool continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United thanks to a free-kick from Jordan Lussey. This result came after a 1-0 win away at Sunderland, where Northern Ireland international Ryan McLaughlin scored an injury time winner.
Team News for the Reds is that they will be forced to make a least one change as Kristoffer Peterson, who featured in the game at Man United, joined Dutch side FC Utrecht on a permanent deal, meaning that Samed Yesil is likely to come in for the Swedish Youth International.
Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 West Ham United
