Gianluigi Donnarumma is reportedly being scouted by Premier League giants Liverpool. The AC Milan, 16, currently plays for the Serie ‘A’ sides’ reserve team where he has made five appearances so far this season. It is believed that the Reds face competition from rivals Manchester United amongst others for the signature of the 193cm shot stopper.
Donnarumma graduated from the Rossoneri’s youth system earlier this season, and recently impressed for his country in the UEFA Under-17 European Championships. In front of a whole host of scouts, Donnarumma was voted as the tournament’s best goalkeeper alongside France’s Luca Zidane.
Mino Raiola, who is an Italian super agent, represents the goalkeeper and it is understood that Real Madrid, Chelsea and PSG are also after the starlet’s signature. Donnarumma has played eight times this season in three competitions, where he has kept three clean sheets and conceded eight goals. He has also made the bench for the first team on numerous occasions this season.
The Italian currently plays for his country’s Under-17 after making his debut in October 2014 in Italy’s 3-0 win over Armenia. After play twice for the Under-15s and three times for the Under-16, he made the step up to Under-17s where he has now played ten times, keeping three clean sheets.
