Liverpool are among several clubs interested in Roma Academy defender Luca Pellegrini. On the same day that the Reds signed James Milner, Brendan Rodgers is after his second summer signing. It is understood that Aston Villa and Dutch Champions PSV are also after the signature of the left-back.
Pellegrini, 16, has still yet to sign a first professional contract with Roma and he is considering a move away from the Serie ‘A’ side to continue his footballing career elsewhere. His agent is Mino Raiola, and Pellegrini is the second client to be linked with a move to Liverpool after AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Raiola was also responsible for moving another one of his clients abroad. Italian starlet Gianluca Scamacca moved away from Serie ‘A’ to join PSV. After the striker moved to Holland, a disadvantage for Liverpool is that Pellegrini may move to the Eredivisie.
