Liverpool have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner as their summer re-build continues. The Reds have already added Paulinho, Joe Gomez, Bobby Adekanye and Brooks Lennon to their Academy setup in this transfer window. Dixon-Bonner, 16, confirmed the transfer on his social media site after rejecting a contract offer from the Gunners last month.
Dixon-Bonner plays as a central midfielder and will be part of Neil Critchley’s U18 squad for the upcoming season. He recently competed in the Marveld U15 tournament for Arsenal and impressed scouts. The highly rated starlet will link up with his former team-mate Ovie Ejaria, who joined Liverpool from Arsenal in July 2014.
It is being reported that the youngster was linked with many other clubs, but moves to Liverpool as he feels as if he has a better chance of progressing with Brendan Rodgers’ side.
