Will Marsh has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on a youth loan from Premier League side Liverpool. The midfielder, 19, has made the step-up to the club’s U21 side this season after playing for the U18s. Marsh moves to Yorkshire until 31 January and will be a major part of the Owls’ development side in the coming weeks.
Marsh first moved to Liverpool when he was at U14 level after arriving from non-league sied Wrexham. When the youngster first made the trip North, he was an out-and-out striker, but has since been deployed as a midfielder as his development continued with Liverpool. He has overall made two appearances for the U21s this season, playing 53 minutes in that time.
After joining up with the Championship side, he is expected to fight for his place in Carlos Carvalhal’s side. He will join a Sheffield Wednesday side who sit eighth in the table, just one point outside the play-off positions.
