Ryan Fulton and Allan Rodrigues de Sousa both made their debuts for their respective clubs at the weekend whilst Andy Firth made his last appearance for Witton Albion. There was a goal for Will Marsh and an assist from Taiwo Awoniyi, whilst Sergi Canos, Lawrence Vigouroux and Samed Yesil all featured, here’s this week’s loan watch:

Sergi Canos

After being on international duty with Spain U19s, Sergi Canos returned to the Brentford squad in their 3-1 win at Preston in the Sky Bet Championship. The winger replaced Sam Saunders in the 78th minute and committed one foul. He may return to the Brentford squad when they travel to play-off contenders Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday 5th February.

Taiwo Awoinyi

Another new recruit Taiwo Awoniyi provided his first assist for FSV Frankfurt since his loan move in September in a 1-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg. The Nigeria U23 striker had featured for his loan side earlier in the week, but only featured for 45 minutes in the Bundesliga 2’s 2-0 win over Dnipro on Friday 22nd January. Despite not having any real chances in the game, Awoniyi’s hold-up play was excellent. The striker may feature for FSV Frankfurt on Saturday 30th January, when they travel to first division side Borussia Mochengladbach.

Samed Yesil

German striker Samed Yesil recently featured three times for FC Luzern. His first game came on Monday 18th January, when he played 45 minutes in their 1-1 draw with SC Freiburg. Three days later, Yesil captained the side when he came on as a 59th minute substitute against Dynamo Kyiv. The striker created several chances for his team-mates, who couldn’t convert. He then came on as a 62nd minute substitute for Markus Babbel’s side against Wohlen. He may play for his loan side when they travel to FC Basel on Sunday 7th February.

Ryan Fulton

Liverpool U21 goalkeeper Ryan Fulton had an impressive debut for League Two side Portsmouth, despite his side suffering a 1-0 home defeat to play-off rivals Oxford United. Fulton did give away a penalty in the 50th minute for fouling Danny Hylton, but denied Oxford midfielder Liam Sercombe with a fine double save to keep his side in the game when it was 0-0.

Will Marsh

Sheffield Wednesday loanee Will Marsh scored for the Owls’ development side in their 3-2 defeat against Bolton Wanderers. He scored his side’s second of the game to go 2-0 up, but they couldn’t hold onto their lead. His loan spell is due to end this month, but with him impressing for the Championship side, he may see his loan extended.

Allan

Brazilian midfielder Allan made his debut for Belgian Pro-League side Sint-Truidense in their 2-1 defeat to KVC Westerlo. He came on in the 81st minute, but failed to make an impact in the final the minutes. He may make his full debut for his new side on Friday 29th January when they welcome Anderlecht.

Lawrence Vigouroux

Goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux has been heavily linked with a permanent transfer to his loan side Swindon Town this month. The Chilean goalkeeper featured for the duration of their 1-1 draw at Sheffield United and he did well to make amends for his mistake when he gifted Bill Sharp the ball. He may feature for the Robins in their next game when they host Barnsley at the County Ground.

Andy Firth

Liverpool U21s shot-stopper Andy Firth completed his three month loan spell with non-league side Witton Albion as he kept a clean sheet in their 3-0 win over Glossop NE. He worked hard for his clean sheet, producing a string of fantastic saves to deny the visitors. With Ryan Fulton’s departure to Portsmouth, Firth returns to the U21s where he may compete with Adam Bogdan for a place in the side.
