ANDRE GREEN is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League side Liverpool and other clubs, who are monitoring the Aston Villa youngster’s situation.
The winger, 17, has broke through the ranks at Bodymoor Heath this season, making his first-team debut against Tottenham in March 2016. His call-up came after numerous stand-out performances in the U21s, where scouts from Liverpool and Arsenal have been watching the Aston Villa starlet all season.
Green joined the Premier League’s bottom side at U9 level, and has progressed through the U18s to the U21s, making his debut as a 15-year-old in 2014.
He has since made 19 appearances in total for Villa in the U21 Premier League, making four assists in total.
This has led to his progression to the first team, where he was on the bench in Villa’s game against Burnley at the end of last season.
His debut came against Tottenham last month, and he also featured in the defeat against Swansea a week later.
As well as this, he has featured for the Midlands club’s U18 side in the FA Youth Cup, playing the entirety in their 2-1 defeat at home to Blackburn earlier this year.
The winger has also represented England at youth level, progressing from U16 to U18 level, where he has made two appearances for Neil Dewsnip’s side.
His debut came in the last international break, coming as a substitute in the 3-2 over Austria on 23 March. His full debut for the Three Lions came four days later, where he played 85 minutes in the 4-1 win at home to the Republic Of Ireland.
With Aston Villa looking set to be relegated from the Premier League this season, the future of Green looks increasingly in doubt, with Liverpool and Arsenal ready to pounce on the winger.
