Liverpool Hope To Land More Than £4m For Departing Striker Jerome Sinclair

Jerome Sinclair has left Liverpool to sign for Premier League side Watford on a four-year contract, but the Reds are hoping to secure a fee of at least £4m when the case goes to a tribunal. Sinclair, 19, has been a regular for the U21s this season, and made the step up to the first-team, scoring in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at Exeter City in the FA Cup in January. Liverpool are hoping to get £4m for the striker, because Bournemouth had a bid of £4m plus add-ons accepted in April, but Sinclair didn’t agree personal terms.

Liverpool Winger Sergi Canos Could Leave Club After Latest Contract Dispute

Sergi Canos could be the latest youngster to leave Liverpool, as the Reds try and keep their wage bill down. Canos, 19, made his first-team debut coming on as an 81st minute substitute in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at West Brom on 15 May. However, with one year left on his current contract, Canos and the club cannot agree personal terms on a new contract and could leave the club when his contract expires. Liverpool have offered the winger a new £3,000 a week contract, but his representatives are pushing for as much as triple that value.

Liverpool Midfielder Daniel Trickett-Smith Joins American Side Sacramento Republic FC

Daniel Trickett-Smith has joined American third division side Sacramento Republic FC after leaving Liverpool. The attacking midfielder, 20, has struggled with injury in recent seasons and has not made a single first-team appearance. His current contract at Liverpool expired next month, and with the Reds deciding not to offer him a new deal, he signed for Sacramento Republic on a free transfer.

Liverpool U21s 1-2 Sacramento Republic FC: Kent Consolation Not Enough As Reds Begin USA Tour With Defeat

Ryan Kent scored but Liverpool U21s began their post-season tour of the USA with a narrow 2-1 defeat against Sacramento Republic on Sunday morning.
Agustin Cazarez gave the USL third division side the lead in the 30th minute, before Kent levelled proceedings in the 75th minute at Bonney Field.
However, with just five minutes left, James Kiffe’s individual effort sealed a memorable victory for Sacramento FC, who gave a debut to former Liverpool midfielder Daniel Trickett-Smith.

 

 

 

Liverpool Take Anderlecht Midfielder Zorhan Bassong On Trial

Zorhan Bassong was on trial with Liverpool as they U19s finished third in the 2016 Spax Cup last week. Bassong, 17, is a midfielder that represents his native Canada, featuring in the 2015 U17 CONCACAF Championships. Bassong takes an interest in both Arsenal and Manchester City, but it looks likely that Liverpool will take him on if he impressed on trial.
